VICTORIA TOURIST INFORMATION  CENTRES

Travelling around Victoria, watch out for the characteristic blue and yellow ‘i’ signs. These signs point out the location Visitor Information Centres, which are part of the network of accredited information centres spread across the state.
Most visitor centres are open all week (except Good Friday and Christmas Day), and are run by welcoming, expert and skilled people who have  wide-ranging local information. The Mornington Peninsula is an outstanding destination - very varied, and  un-spoilt. Right on Melbourne's doorstep and is a region full of attractions, festivals, events and accommodation options.
Activities abound on the Peninsula from golf, tennis and swimming to horse riding along windswept beaches, bush walking and bird watching. Take the opportunity to leave the beaten track to find some amazing local works of art.
There are over 50 cellar doors here and 170 vineyards together with u-pick fruit and vegetable farms and countless restaurants.
There is something to suit all everyone. Feel like trying freshwater trout at a winery? Or sampling the culinary delights of some of Victoria's top, most well renowned chefs? Does the alfresco café scene away from the city tempt you?
From one of Victoria's icon National Parks - Mornington Peninsula National Park Pt Nepean, French Island (home of the largest, disease free Koala population in Australia) through to magnificent coastal and bush walks, woodlands, wetlands and unique coral reefs, the Peninsula is a nature lover’s paradise.
For those wishing to stay longer there are accommodation options to suit everyone's tastes and budgets. From camping on the foreshore or in a caravan park, hotels and motels, guesthouses and backpacker hostels through to luxurious bed & breakfasts, resorts, self contained cottages & apartments.
