Australian Tourism Awards

The Quantas Tourism Awards take place this evening. These awards are designed to help ensure that the tourism industry of Australia offers world-class products to both entice visitors from all around the world to visit Australia and to offer Australians experiences to keep them holidaying at home.
The tourism industry has been affected globally both in 2008 and the first part of 2009 with numbers visiting Australia down on previous years but the Quantas awards put emphasis on service and quality and will honour the success of many operators across Australia in a number of sectors.
