Citizen Sayer takes Oath in Canberra

The British singer-songwriter Leo Sayer took the oath of Australian citizenship in Canberra on Australia Day.
Sayer now 60, who left the UK for the warmer climbs of Australia in 2005, originally hailed from Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex.
Top ten hits such as You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, Giving it all Away, When I need You and One Man Band made Leo Sayer a household name.
The 70’s pop icon also had a number one hit in 2006 with a new version of Thunder in My Heart.
Sayer indicated the Australian ethos, life style and energetic culture has rejuvenated his enthusiasm for creativity and encouraged him to continue working.
