Gold Coast Convention Centre Revamp Completed
31 December 2008
Queenslands premier Anna Bligh has visited the recently completed $44 million dollar revamp of the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
Ms Bligh popped in on the centre before start of her summer vacation on Stradbroke Island.
The Premier pointed out the investment in extending and improving the Centre comes at a decisive period, where Australia as a whole faces the consequences of the global economic downturn and reduction in expected tourism figures.
``Every person that comes here for an event spends money in this great part of the state, and that means a much-needed boost for local business, local tourism operators and local jobs,'' said Ms Bligh.
The Gold Coast Convention Centre will see the first full use of its two new exhibition halls, with the Australian Motorcycle Expo.which takes place in February 2009.
Tourist/Visitor ETA-Subclass 976, Short Validity Business ETA-Subclass 977 and Long Validity Business ETA-Subclass 956 are available online from Instant Travel Visa.
