Perth keeps Red Bull for a further three years.

The state capital of Western Australia Perth is to host the Red Bull Air Race for a further three years from 2009 to 2011 after New South Wales withdrew from a bidding contest.
The Red Bull Air Race has become the largest spectator, sporting event in Australia, with crowds of around 350,000 people.
The Western Australian Government was enthusiastic to keep the event, which is held over the Swan River in Perth.
The final stage of Red Bull Air Race has been held in Perth for the past two years after other international cities such as Abu Dhabi, London, Budapest and Rotterdam have staged the earlier legs.
In 2007, the race attracted 12,000 additional tourists and creating revenue of more than $18 million for the Western Australia economy. .....................................................................
